SCADA AND AUTOMATION BIDDING SPECIALIST

Location: Bucharest

Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position, in the field of bidding: transformer stations, transformer substations and automation systems.

Education: Higher education completed with a bachelor’s degree, specializing in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Energy, Automation or Computer Science.

Knowledge and skills:

• Knowledge of automation systems in areas such as: electricity, oil and gas, water and sewerage, district heating, etc.;
• Knowledge of command, control and protection systems for high voltage stations;
• Solid knowledge of the basics of electrical engineering;
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
• Advanced knowledge of English;
• Initiative, creativity, and flexibility;
• Good organizational and time management skills; a high level of work ethic and moral integrity;
• Good communication skills;
• Bid negotiation skills;
• Ability to analyze and synthesize;
• Ability to work in a team;

Job description:

• Analyzes the requirements of the project (Specifications, Data Sheet, Equipment List).
• Carry out field visits to correlate the requirements of the Tender Specifications with the existing situation.
• It proposes technically optimized technical solutions, related to turnkey automation systems, and for opportunities that belong to the field of activity.
• It develops the technical and commercial proposal for automation systems, as well as command, control and protection systems.
• It technically analyzes the offers received from the market and establishes optimal solutions.
• Proposes equipment/solutions for the purpose of developing and perfecting the company’s field of activity.
• Participates in meetings with the end customer, in order to adapt the proposed technical solutions.
• Provides support to the execution team throughout the project.
• Studies the tender documentation received and correlates the specifications of the specifications with the technical specifications of the equipment available on the market;
• Consults with customers, suppliers and staff in other departments for the purpose of developing estimates.
• Prepares the list of requests for tenders, for works and materials necessary for the tender, to internal departments and/or to subcontractors.

• Proposes technical automation solutions and presents the proposed projects to customers;
• Collaborate with the design department to draw up an efficient and technically and commercially optimized technical solution.
• Develops the technical and commercial offer related to electrical equipment.
• Participates in the presentation of the offer to the beneficiary or its representative and then participates in all stages of negotiation of the offer.
• Ensures the complete transfer of information from the bidding phase to the project manager/work follow-up manager.
• It periodically analyzes and updates the resulting standard costs in order to permanently improve the offers drawn up based on the proposed estimates.
• Provide recommendations for the implementation cost reduction strategy.
• Build your own database with suppliers of electrical materials or equipment and subcontractors (various specialties).
